Mangoes, ‘The King of Fruits’ is also the national fruit of Pakistan and are loved by everyone! It is not only delicious but also boasts an impressive nutritional profile.

Studies link mango and its nutrients to several health benefits, such as improved immunity and digestive health. Some polyphenols found in the fruit might even lower the risk of certain cancers.

Being a versatile fruit, mangoes can be enjoyed and devoured in a variety of ways, ranging from sweet desserts to savory, and spicy entrées! Here are some delicious recipes incorporating mangoes to enjoy this season!

Mango Yoghurt

Ingredients:
Mango Puree: 1/2 cup
Sugar:4 tbsp
Hot Milk: 1/2 ltr
Yogurt: 2 tbsp

Method:
Peel off the mangoes & make purée.
Caramelised the sugar in a pan & start adding the hot milk.
Sugar will be crystallized but keep mixing on medium flame.
Once it is mixed well, switch off the flame & strain the mixture.
Add yogurt & wait until the mixture is lukewarm.
Now put the mixture in the pan, cover it & keep it in a warm place for 5-6 hours.
After that refrigerate, & Enjoy😋

Mango-Lychee Mojito


Ingredients:

Mango cubes
Lychees
Sprite/7up can
Mint leaves
Lychee juice 1 cup

Ingredients:

250ml whipping cream
100gm fresh cream
2 small can sweetened condensed milk
Marie Finger biscuits
Caramel
1 cup mango purée
1 cup mango chunks

Method: In a bowl add whipping cream, fresh cream, condensed milk, caramel and mango purée. Milk well with mixer.
In a serving dish, spread the layer of crushed biscuits, then mango chunks and cover it with the creamy mango mixture.
Decorate it with some mango purée. Refrigerate for 3 to 6 hours.

Mango Chicken


Ingredients:

For Chicken Marination:
1/4 cup maida
1/4 cup cornflour
1 egg
1 tsp white pepper
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup water

For Sauce:

1/4 cup soya sauce
2 tbsp red chilli sauce
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp barbecue sauce
1 tbsp cornflour mixed in 3 tbsp water
Vegetables of choice

Method:

1. Fry chicken after marination of 30 minutes
2. Sauté 1 tsp garlic paste in 1/4 cup olive oil
3. Cook sauce only
4. Add chopped vegetables- I took capsicum and onions
5. Add fried chicken
6. Add mangoes cook for 5 minutes over high flame
7. Add cornflour mixture and cook for 2 minutes
Enjoy with rice or noodles!
