Ingredients
Sugar 125 grams
Butter 225 grams
Flour 340 grams
Salt 2 grams
Vanilla 15 grams
Recipe
Take a bowl and add all 5 ingredients in it. Make sure that your butter is chopped and cold. Mix all ingredients with hand. Keep breaking down the butter as the mix comes together. Once the mix comes together and forms a dough, transfer the dough in a circular shape on a parchment paper. Now put another parchment paper on top of the dough. With the help of a rolling pin press down the dough and then start rolling it lengthwise.
Roll it till the dough is rolled out to the size of 1/4 of an inch. Remove the top parchment paper and start cutting the dough from all sides in straight lines. Now with a help of a ruler cut equal sized cookies (suggested: 1 inch x 3 inches)
Make prominent holes on the cookie with the help of a skewer. Now shift the cookies with the parchment on a baking tray. Bake in the middle shelf of the oven at 160•c for 35 mins. The dough makes approx 30 cookies.
Tada! Your yummiest, and easiest short-bread cookies are ready. Have it with a cup of tea post-Iftaar.
