Things to Do At Home During the Coronavirus Pandemic

With more and more people working from home, schooling from home and practicing social distancing it leaves some question of: What can I do from home? We understand that it can feel a little limiting but don’t worry, we have some suggestions of things you can do to pass the time.

Exercise at Home:

You can look up some fun exercise routines on Youtube – where you are into high intensity training or yoga – Youtube has a little something for everyone. Do a little exercise during the day to ensure that you bolster your immune system and enhance your defense against the virus.

Catch Up On Sleep:

Whether it’s work or school that has been keeping you up for weeks and months on end, take this as a chance to catch up on your sleep. In order to strengthen your defense against the virus, it is important that you get 7-8 hours of sleep every night.

Binge On Your Favourite Shows on Netflix:

Whether you love watching Friends, Gilmore Girls or The Big Bang Theory, it’s time to rewatch the same shows again. Binge, binge and binge. Or, if you’re looking for something new to watch, here’s out list of fun new shows on Netflix.

Play Games on Apps

We would suggest playing board games but don’t forget that social distancing is important. Therefore, a good alternative are the several fun games that you need to download to your phone NOW. Be it Ludo Star, Pull the Pin, PubG, Subway Surfer and Solitaire, it’s time to call your friends and team up with them on your favourite games.

Learn a New Language

Hello, Hola, Salut, Guten Tag — Whether your first language is English, Spanish, French or German there is never a bad time to pick up a new language! There are plenty of sites and apps such as Duolingo, Memrise, OpenCulture and Babble that offer online resources and tools to learn new languages for free.

Start Baking or Cooking

Now that ordering food from restaurants doesn’t feel too right, it’s best to start going through those cook books that you always bought but never tried out. If you’re looking for fun recipes, our food section too brings you some of the easiest, and yummy treats you can easily make at home.

It’s Time to Play with Your Pet

Whether you’re a dog person or a cat, maybe think about spending sometime with your furry friends. They won’t give you the virus and they’re always pleased to see you. Give them a bath or play catch with them, your four legged friends will keep your sane during this quarantine.
