Trump Honours 10 Year Old Pakistani American Girl as Coronavirus Hero

US president and the First Lady honored corona crisis heroes, for helping those on the front lines during this pandemic. Amongst them was a 10 year old American-Pakistani girl named Laila Ali Khan.

Laila Khan, who hails from Maryland was recognised as a Coronavirus hero for donating girl scout cookies to nurses and firefighters. She was also acknowledged by the US embassy in Pakistan on their social media accounts.

During the ceremony that was held on May 15th, President Trump awarded her with a letter of recognition . Laila and two other girl scouts donated 100 boxes of cookies to local medical workers and firefighters, accompanied by personalised cards for them.

“While we are honored that our troop was invited to be here today, we know that we are just part of the millions of other children out there that are doing amazing things to support their communities, their friends and their families,” Miss Khan said. “It is a privilege to be here representing all of them.”
