The term Papa Jani is synonymous with Master Moltyfoam, so it was a MAJOR dig when Diamond Supreme Foam launched it’s marketing campaign poking fun at their competing mattress giant’s signature term and using it EXCESSIVELY in all their ads.
It didn’t take long for Moltyfoam to take action as they filed a class action lawsuit against Diamond and went to PEMRA and demanded action. And were victorious!
Diamond Supreme Foam conceded the case and are no longer allowed to use the term Papa Jani in any shape or form.
Diamond still benefitted if you believe in the term ‘ no publicity is bad publicity’ , yet, the lawsuit must’ve stung. Huge corperations, take note: You don’t want to mess with Papa Jani!
