In the wake of the “Corona Apocalypse” (a term frequently used on Twitter) has shown us a silver lining. Just when there was ample evidence to show that people above the age of 60 were at greater risk of dying of Coronavirus, came this news that is both heartfelt and joyous.
Zhang Guangfen, a 103 year old woman, has recovered from the disease after receiving treatment for just six days at a hospital in Wuhan – the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak. This Chinese grandmother’s quick recovery was down to her having no underlying health conditions apart from mild chronic bronchitis, her doctor Dr Zeng Yulan told reporters.
It is heartwarming to know that the centenarian has successfully fought off the virus and has recovered fully.
