Designer Mariyam D. Rizwan has been changing the landscape of fashion with her distinguished designs for over seven years. Having previously worked with globally renowned names in fashion such as Ted Baker and H&M, it’s no wonder that her silhouettes are adorned by some of Pakistan’s most iconic fashionistas. In 2022 we saw designer clothing everywhere on some of our favorite leading ladies. Hence, we expect that 2023 will be no different.
Mariyam D. Rizwans brand has only grown exponentially since it first began in 2015. In 2022, we saw her collections range from luxury pret, ready-to-wear, luxury formals, and so much more. However, her collections ‘Jhoom’ (worn by Sadaf Kanwal and Fouzia Aman) and ‘Ceyda’ (worn by Ayesha Chundrigar) have been among the favorites of many established names in the industry. Mariyam D. Rizwan particularly stole the spotlight last Eid and Independence day, with famous names wearing her ensembles including fashion icons such as Ayeza Khan, Sonya Hussyn, and Sadaf Kanwal to name a few. However, one outfit that couldn’t be missed was a black and silver ensemble worn by Saba Qamar for the promotion of her film ‘Kamli’.
When asked about her upcoming collections for 2023, Mariyam D. Rizwan stated, “We’re currently working on our Ramadan & Eid Campaign with two famous celebrities and can not wait for everyone to see it. Our Eid & Ramadan concept this year is completely different from last year, we have a lot of new faces and lots of fun things planned. A Formal/Bridal collection is currently in the pipeline and we’re looking to design outfits that are festive and perfect for the upcoming season. We’re evening working with some of the industry’s most popular names such as Ayeza Khan, Sadaf Kanwal, and Durefishan to name a few.”
Mariyam D Rizwan’s brand has already gained a lot of recognition in the past year and she will also be stepping into bridal wear in the upcoming months. Her work has shown great promise for the fashion industry and we cannot wait to see what the couturier has in store for 2023!
