A list of Feel-Good Shows to Watch During Lockdown

It’s a strange time for everyone with more time on our hands than ever before. And while we understand that your anxiety must be through the roof, we bring you a list of some feel-good shows on Netflix to help lighten the mood.

1.Full House/Fuller House

Whether you’re interested in a trip down memory lane or want to see a newer version of the same feel-good show – Full House or Fuller House are the shows for you.

2.Marlon

After the friendliest divorce ever, a carefree but devoted father navigates post-split parenting life with his levelheaded ex-wife and two kids. It’s funny, it’s sweet, and it gives you all the feels.

3.One Day at a Time

This show follows three generations of the same Cuban-American family living in the same house: a newly divorced former military mother, her teenage daughter and tween son, and her old-school mother. But our favourite character is that of the Cuban grandmother – from her early morning dancing to her love for her grandson – Papito, this show will make you go “awww”.

4.The Good Place

This show deals with death and the afterlife in a charming way that shouldn’t freak you out, despite the news. The show recently ended its run and it’s a perfect ending to a brilliant, high-concept comedy that we’ve really never seen anything like before.

5.Kim’s Convenience

Haven’t heard of this one? Well good, because it’s time to broaden your horizons. It’s the story of a Korean family where the parents own a convenience store and their estranged son works at a car rental place. A son who is now going on to lead his own Marvel movie, soon enough, I should note, as actor Sima Liu is starring in Shang-Chi next year.

Finding out that their husbands are not just work partners, but have also been romantically involved for the last twenty years, two women with an already strained relationship try to cope with the circumstances together. From not being able to stand each other, to not being able to be without one another – this show covers two women’s journey of friendship. One that will have you laughing every 2 mins.
