Quarantined Tableeghi Jamaat Member Tries to Escape Quarantine by Stabbing Policeman

A member of the Tableeghi Jamat, who was placed in quarantine in the Layyah district of Punjab, tried to escape isolation after attacking a policeman with a knife. The injured policeman, who has been identified as SHO Ashraf Maalki,  has been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital  since the incident, after sustaining injuries from the attack.

Superintendent Police Atif Nazar shared the details of the unfortunate incident via Twitter, while simultaneously urging the public to cooperate with the police, as they are doing their jobs, trying to protect the public from the continued spread of Coronavirus.
