It was a handcrafted saree along with a decent blouse that had real gemstones on it. The long pallu of the saree made her look outstanding and memorable for all. The blouse had real jewels on it which enhanced the beauty and elegance of the entire look! As Alia Bhatt wore Prabal Gurung’s gown at Met Gala 2023, she had made up her mind to go desi this time in her Indian style wearing Sabyasachi, the famous Indian designer.
Alia Bhatt was seen on the Met Gala’s stairs wearing a mint green floral saree which was no doubt made for her. On wearing a desi attire, she not only presented the Indian culture, also her look matched perfectly with the theme of the event, ‘Garden of Time’. The dress was an amalgamation of sequins, gemstones, jewels, embroideries, and whatnot, adding her to one of the best Met Gala looks!
Her ethereal look was applauded as she wore a 23-foot-long trail that was all embroidered with floral designs and handcrafted with gemstones and glass beads.
The Indian designer mentioned that the dress was handcrafted by a labor of 163 which included dyers, craftsmen, and embroiderers who managed to complete the saree in months.
Moreover, the saree perfectly aligned with the expensive and glamorous jewelry that the actress was wearing. Also, her long earrings featuring diamonds and rings were all provided by Sabyasachi accessories that completely matched the attire.
Surprisingly, it was just the second time an Indian couturier got the chance to be worn at the Met Gala and it was none other than Sabyasachi Mukherjee because of his unlimited efforts. The designer chose the stunning and alluring Aalia Bhatt who elegantly, wore the attire, making Mukherjee pleased with his decision to craft a saree.
Nothing is ever ‘extra’ on Met Gala’s red carpet. Alia Bhatt completed her look with loosely tied hair which was knotted with gemstones. Her fans appreciated her Met Gala look and gave admiring comments on social media. One of the fans said, “Desi woman gonna eat up all the goras at their own event,” which showed how beautiful she looked at the event of course, wearing a saree on an International red carpet delights the crowd and Alia Bhatt never fails to impress us with her choice of outfits!
