1. To begin, could you share a bit about your journey and what led you into the world of marketing?
My journey into marketing began with a deep curiosity about how technology shapes their lives, influences their aspirations, and connects them to the world around them. Over the past ten years, I’ve had the opportunity to work across diverse industries, where I learned how data, creativity, and human insight can come together to build meaningful brands.
What drew me most to marketing especially in the tech industry is its constant evolution. It’s where innovation meets storytelling. Today, as part of Xiaomi, I see marketing not just as a function of promotion, but as a bridge between cutting edge technology and real human needs transforming innovation into experiences that genuinely add value to people’s everyday lives.
2. What inspired you to join Xiaomi, and how has your experience been leading the brand’s marketing vision in Pakistan?
What drew me to Xiaomi was its philosophy of “Innovation for Everyone.” It’s not just a tech company, it’s a brand that democratizes innovation and makes it accessible.
Leading Xiaomi’s marketing in Pakistan has been an inspiring journey of growth and community-building. Pakistani consumers are incredibly engaged, tech-savvy, and passionate about innovation which aligns perfectly with Xiaomi’s DNA. Seeing our ecosystem from smartphones to smart TVs and wearables become part of people’s everyday lives has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my role.
3. As Director of Marketing, how would you describe your leadership style and the values that drive your decisions?
My leadership style is collaborative, creative, and purpose-driven. I believe in empowering my team to think beyond conventional marketing, innovate fearlessly, and always stay connected with our users.
The values that guide me are clarity, creativity, and consistency. Every decision must align with Xiaomi’s mission of delivering meaningful innovation while remaining authentic to our consumers. For me, success comes from teamwork, empathy, and integrity.
4. How do you see the role of marketing evolving in Pakistan’s competitive smartphone industry?
Marketing is evolving from being purely promotional to creating real experiences and meaningful conversations. Today’s consumers expect authenticity over advertising; they value engagement, community, and purpose.
In Pakistan, as digital transformation accelerates, marketing will rely increasingly on data intelligence, personalized content, and immersive storytelling. Xiaomi is leading this shift by combining innovation with human insight to build lasting consumer relationships.
5. What is your vision for strengthening Xiaomi’s presence and connection with Pakistani consumers?
My vision is to make Xiaomi not just a brand people purchase, but a brand they believe in and feel connected to.
We’re focused on deeper localization, stronger storytelling, and expanding our ecosystem to meet the evolving needs of Pakistani users. Whether through technology, design, or experience, we want every user to feel that Xiaomi truly understands them.
6. How important are digital marketing, influencer collaborations, and community engagement in shaping Xiaomi’s success locally?
They are absolutely vital. Xiaomi has always been a digital-first brand. Our success depends on building communities and conversations, not just running campaigns.
Influencer collaborations allow us to connect authentically with diverse audiences, while community engagement ensures that fans feel heard, valued, and part of our journey. These pillars play a key role in shaping Xiaomi’s strong local presence.
7. Which features do you think will resonate most with Pakistani users, especially in terms of performance and innovation?
Pakistani users are highly tech-conscious and value both power and practicality. The flagship processor, advanced camera system, and AI-powered photography features will definitely stand out. The Xiaomi 15T Series, co-engineered with Leica, features a triple camera system: main, ultra-wide, and telephoto on the 15T, and main, ultra-wide, plus a new Leica 5x Pro telephoto on the 15T Pro.
