COLABS – Pakistan’s Leading Platform for Tech, VC, and Community Building

COLABS Raises $2M in Pre-Series A Funding to Drive Expansion into Saudi Arabia’s Thriving Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

COLABS, Pakistan’s leading workspace platform and startup ecosystem hub, is making headlines once again. The company has successfully secured $2 million in pre-Series A funding, pushing its total raised capital to over $5 million. This round was led by Shorooq Partners, one of the Middle East’s most influential venture capital firms, with additional backing from Saudi Arabia-based Waad VC. This new investment is not just about adding zeros to COLABS’ balance sheet—it’s about fueling the next big step in its journey: expanding into Saudi Arabia and the broader MENA region.

With the momentum gained from its rapid growth in Pakistan, COLABS is now strategically positioning itself to tap into Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning startup and entrepreneurial landscape. Omar Shah, co-founder and CEO of COLABS, is optimistic about this expansion: “This funding marks a pivotal moment for COLABS. We’ve built something special in Pakistan, a platform that supports innovation and growth. Now, we’re excited to take this model to Saudi Arabia, a country with an incredibly dynamic and flourishing entrepreneurship ecosystem.”

A Proven Model for Innovation and Growth

Since launching, COLABS has grown at a remarkable pace, scaling its revenue and workspace capacity fivefold. Today, the company manages over 5,000 seats across 10 locations and has achieved net profitability—a rare feat in today’s competitive workspace landscape. With a dedicated team of more than 300 people, COLABS has become an integral part of Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, hosting over 250 ecosystem partners, including global giants like Google Cloud, AWS, and Spotify.

Part of what makes COLABS unique is its ability to not just offer co-working spaces, but to build a thriving community of startups, freelancers, and businesses of all sizes. Its initiatives like Pitch to Win, a Shark Tank-style startup competition, and the Freelancer Fellowship Program are key examples of how COLABS fosters talent, growth, and innovation.

And now, COLABS has set its sights on bringing that same level of energy and opportunity to

Saudi Arabia, a country that has seen an explosion in entrepreneurship thanks to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 initiative, which promotes economic diversification through technology and innovation.

Expanding into Saudi Arabia’s Booming Market

The decision to expand into Saudi Arabia couldn’t come at a more opportune time. With its company registration in the Kingdom already completed, COLABS is set to launch its operations in a region that has become a hotspot for startups and venture capital. Saudi Arabia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem is experiencing unprecedented growth, with support from both the government and private sectors, making it fertile ground for COLABS to replicate its successful Pakistan model.

“Entrepreneurs are looking for more than just office space—they need a community, mentorship, and access to resources that can help them scale,” Shah explained. “We’ve built that in Pakistan, and we’re going to bring that to Saudi Arabia.”

A Bright Future Ahead

With $5 million in total funding and the backing of key regional venture capitalists, COLABS is well-positioned to become a major player in the MENA startup landscape.
