Forbes, being the renowned American economic magazine, provides individuals with the inspiration, resources and networks to motivate them to push themselves to their core to achieve success and utmost status. It emphasizes on leadership, entrepreneurship and investment by setting their front page with a list of those individuals who through immense hard work and passion have set the success game on fire. This time around, the list highlights 7 successful entrepreneurs from Pakistan.

Bushra Sultan

A Lahore based filmmaker, production designer and creative director who made it to the Forbes art category. She is known for the interests she shows in opposing the societal restrictions and unfair barriers women face. The most renowned project of hers was the ‘Guria’ campaign she did for the famous clothing brand Demesne couture. The project closely highlights the unfair treatment and demands women especially brides have to go through, it depicts how they are tortured and mistreated like puppets to survive the pathetic setup.

Aleena Nadeem

The founder of EduFi who featured in the finance and venture category. ‘Study now, pay later’ is the maxim of this edtech startup which works to aid more Pakistanis fund their university fees and pursue their education without financial barriers. EduFi has collaborated with 27 institutions in Pakistan, they pay the fees on the students behalf and let them carry on their respective degrees. The platform then allows these students to return the fee on monthly basis as they study, thus, making higher education accessible to more.

Sarkhail Shahid Bawany

The head of product at ABHI, a Pakistan based fintech company also featured in the finance and venture category of Forbes. The project of Sarkhail encourages the employees to withdraw a part of their monthly salary regardless of the paydate incase an emergency arises. This project earns him immense respect and recognition among his colleagues and community appreciating his mindset. ABHI collaborates with Unilever to further make this service accessible to their employees as well. The company has now grown to middle east and Bangladesh as well.

Adeel Abid, Aizaz Nayyer, and Ali Raza

Featured in consumer technology category of Forbes, these three have cofounded Linkstar, a Karachi based setup, which assists individuals to create free portfolio websites which through advanced features of the platform will be upgraded for better use like international payments and social media incorporation. They bought Oliv, a Dubai-based job marketplace for graduates and students, in 2023. The platform works together to enhance young talent and provide them with better opportunities to excel.
