Actress and overall high achiever Mira Sethi is all set to venture into a new field; as an author!
In a recent Instagram live session with her aunt Jugnu Mohsin, Mira Sethi announced the upcoming release of her new book . While the actress did not reveal the title of the book, she did disclose the book is going to be a collection of short stories covering various themes and would be released in April 2021.
“I wanted to make a formal announcement,” explained Sethi, “But since this is ghar ki baat, my book is coming out in April 2021.”
“Most of the characters are young, but I’ve also included two short stories that revolve around a female politician. I wonder where I got the inspiration for that?” Mira said, hinting that it could possibly be inspired by her mother, Jugnu Mohsin, who is currently an MPA from PP 184 Constituency of the Okara District.
Mira announced the book deal with publishing giant Knopf and Bloomsbury in 2016 but the release date continued to be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. “I’m so happy, because it kept getting delayed, and I’m due to get the first edit of the book any day now,” she said.
During the live session, Mira also spoke of a few books she has recently read, which include The Age of Surveillance Capitalism and Trick Mirror.
