The UK Forum on Cultural Diplomacy 2026 was held at the House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, London, bringing together parliamentarians, cultural leaders, policymakers, and delegates from around the world to examine the role of culture in diplomacy, development, security, and leadership. Hosted by Baroness Uddin and organized by Tasmina Ahmed Sheikh, the forum served as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and inclusive exchange in addressing contemporary global challenges. The event marked a historic milestone, as a Pakistani media network was represented at the forum at this level for the first time.
Pakistan’s First Media Representation at the UK Forum on Cultural Diplomacy:
Green Entertainment was represented by Chief Executive Fasih Ur Rehman and Executive Director Tehreem Chaudhary, marking a significant moment for Pakistan’s media industry on an international cultural diplomacy platform. Their participation highlighted Green Entertainment’s growing presence as a network committed to globally relevant, socially conscious storytelling.

Tehreem Chaudhary Addresses Global Leaders on Women’s Representation in Media:
During the forum, Tehreem Chaudhary addressed Lords, Baronesses, Members of Parliament, and international delegates, focusing on women’s representation in media and the transformative power of storytelling in shaping societal perceptions. In her address, she stated, “Media does not simply reflect society; it shapes what is accepted, respected, and imagined as possible,” emphasizing the responsibility media holds in empowering women and inspiring future generations. Speaking as a Pakistani woman, a Muslim, and a media professional, she underscored that these identities are interconnected and collectively inform leadership, perspective, and creative responsibility.

Green Entertainment’s Commitment to Women-Centered Storytelling:
As Producer and Executive Director at Green Entertainment, Tehreem Chaudhary highlighted the organization’s strong commitment to women-centered narratives. She explained that the network prioritizes stories in which women lead, make decisions, face challenges, succeed, and grow—portraying them as capable, ambitious, and grounded in reality rather than as stereotypes or ideals. This creative vision has positioned Green Entertainment as a platform for meaningful, women-forward storytelling within Pakistan’s television landscape.

Cultural Context, Faith, and Women’s Leadership in Pakistan:
She also reflected on the broader cultural and historical context of women’s leadership, citing examples from Muslim history, including Fatima al-Fihriya, founder of the world’s oldest university, and Hazrat Khadija (R.A.), the wife of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), a respected businesswoman and leader. She further referenced Benazir Bhutto, Pakistan’s first female Prime Minister, as a source of inspiration for women leaders today.
Addressing global narratives, Tehreem Chaudhary noted that women from Muslim and South Asian societies are often discussed without being directly included in conversations about them, resulting in perspectives that feel detached from lived realities. She emphasized that Pakistani society, like many others, is complex—where tradition and progress coexist, and faith and ambition are not in conflict. Women’s leadership, she noted, is already present and reflects competence, credibility, and sustained authority.

She further stressed that empowerment and tradition are not opposing forces. When women are represented truthfully in media and supported within their homes, communities, and workplaces, societies become more inclusive and institutions stronger.
Concluding her address, she emphasized that the question today is no longer whether women belong in spaces of influence—they are already there. The responsibility now lies with institutions, systems, and platforms to reflect this reality with integrity and respect, and to normalize women’s leadership across narratives, homes, and public life.

Shaping Inclusive Narratives on Global Platforms:
Green Entertainment’s participation at the UK Forum on Cultural Diplomacy reflects the network’s longstanding commitment to women-empowering narratives, as seen across its diverse slate of content, including Working Women, Nauroz, Jindo, Standup Girl, 22 Qadam, and the recently aired Pamaal, among many others. This milestone appearance further reinforces Green Entertainment’s positioning as a progressive Pakistani television network shaping authentic, inclusive storytelling on both national and global platforms.
