This week, my lens will take you to the northern areas of Pakistan—a land where every turn of the road reveals a new masterpiece of nature.
Our journey begins in Skardu, the crown jewel of Baltistan, where snow-dusted mountains rise above turquoise lakes. Just beyond, Shiger and the serene Shigar Valley unfold like poetry—forts, rivers, and quiet landscapes that seem frozen in time.
High up in the meadows of Arang Kel, nature feels otherworldly, its green slopes kissed by drifting clouds. Hazara charms with winding roads and rolling hills, while the rugged beauty of Chilam Choki and Domail offers adventure to those who crave the wild.
Crossing Babusar Top, one of Pakistan’s most breathtaking mountain passes, the valley of Naran opens its arms with glacial rivers and blooming wildflowers.
Deeper still lies Basho Valley, where pine forests, clear skies, and silence create a world that feels untouched by time.
Then there’s the legendary Shangrila Lake, mirroring mountains in its still waters, often called “Heaven on Earth” for good reason. Nearby, the mighty Khamosh Waterfall roars with a force that humbles, while the elegant Mantokha Waterfall tumbles gracefully like silver threads from the cliffs.
Together, these places form more than a journey—they form a feeling. The warmth of locals offering tea, the laughter of children chasing kites, the sheer silence of valleys that remind you to slow down.
Northern Pakistan isn’t just to be seen—it’s to be felt. Every snapshot becomes a memory, every memory a story, and every story something that lingers long after you’ve returned home.
