Sana Hashwani and Safinaz Muneer’s S/S 2014 Western-wear collection sizzles, pushing silhouettes far enough to be challenging and backing them up with bold patterns, vibrant colours and a level of bravura embroidery skill that is haute couture at its very best. But the really interesting thing to isolate in this collection is its underlying sophistication and subtlety. Welcome to the world of Sana Safinaz, a vista of glam-chic beautiful and strong women who are powerhouses in their own right. We asked Sadaf Muneer Jalil, Sehr Pirzada, Zahra Rahman Habib,Eman Syed, Sana Hafeez Sheikh, Maha Burney, Maha Ahmed, to style their favourite pieces, choosing the newly launched Sana Safinazfurniture studio as a location. The results are a total masterpiece. Prepare to fall in love.

Sadaf Muneer Jalil
COO at the Pret and Diffusion line at Sana Safinaz and co-owner of home and accessories line, Carbon
“The great thing about these tunics is that they can be dressed up or down, depending on whether you want a day or evening look. I styled mine with leather leggings, a fuschia Bottega Veneta clutch, black pointy-toe spiked Louboutin heels and some arm candy for a funky and cutting edge silhouette.”

Maha Burney
Creative Director, Fashion Stylist and Art & Director at NFK Photography

“I love this hot pink Sana Safinaz jumpsuit. It’s a very versatile piece, great for styling up for a party or styling down for a casual dinner date with the hubby. Here the look is very much in the vein of the Sana Safinaz aesthetic of clean and chic simplicity with minimal accessories. Platform heels are a must for creating a long lean silhouette and adding that extra bit of leg to balance the look. Pair it up with a chic metallic necklace or box clutch, adding a bit of sparkle and luxe for a perfect night time look. If your style is more offbeat, wear it with a long blazer, roll up the sleeves, add a chunky cuff and statement clutch and you’re ready to go!”

Sehr Pirzada
General Manager for the Sana Safinaz Export Line
“I wore a black floor-length gown with a flared skirt, which felt flouncy and whimsical! It had crystal detailing on the shoulder and would be perfect to wear during ball season or to any formal event. I paired it with Louboutin heels, a Swarovski crystal clutch and Sherezade’s diamond and pearl drop earrings, as well as stacked crystal bracelets.”

Maha Ahmad
Fashion Merchandiser at Sana Safinaz
“Both these outfits are halters, so to get a sophisticated look, I chose to have my hair pulled up and do a smokey eye for impact. You definitely need a nice clutch and super high heels, and I would pair these looks with big statement earrings. The gown is perfect to wear out to something like the Winter Ball or a fancy event. The black and white dress is perfect because it can transform from daytime to evening depending on how you dress it up. I prefer wearing this dress with black pants, for a classy touch”

Emaan Syed
Designer for Sana Safinaz lawn

“As a designer, I feel simplicity is key. I would pair this look with black kitten heels and a small black clutch, because I don’t feel it needs more colour. This look is perfect for a party or dinner with friends.”

Sana Hafeez Sheikh
PR Consultant and Designer for the Sana Safinaz Retail Line

“This turquoise and black silk digital printed dress commands attention, so I kept my accessories simple and classic: black Louboutin pumps, chunky Art Deco bangles, a gold Vince Camuto clutch and Swarovski hoop earrings. This is easy elegance with a young twist for a cocktail party. Keeping within the colour palette of the eclectic embroidered coat, I added Oriental monochrome tassled earrings and a silk belt tied at the waist. I would wear this to a formal dinner.”

Zahra Rahman Habib
Creative Designer and CEO at Zahra Habib Footwear
“The dress is both elegant and trendy and because the cut is so flattering, you don’t need to do much to dress it up. I paired it with simple black heels and chunky bracelets. I would wear it pretty much anywhere – to a party, a dinner or a big lunch even! The best thing about this look is the belt, which works wonderfully to let you decide the length.”
