Here’s our Runway Report from Day 2 of PLBW 2017:
The Queens of Couture are at it again! The Last of the Night was an extension of their last collection Roses and Rue, which showcased last month at FPW in Karachi. With soft colours, flowing cuts, an array of sequins, feathers and beads, and trails galore, we expected nothing less from this fashion powerhouse!
Closing the night off with a bang, Sania Maskatiya’s Samarkand collection was all about the regality that is Eastern bridal wear. Heavy duty numbers, each paired with beautiful jewels, lavish dupattas and intricate work – this Karachi designer once again showcases a stand alone collection that takes her fashion game up a notch. This is one we can see easily being sported all over town this coming winter!
The much anticipated collection Darya came as a breath of fresh air. With vibrant hues of blue and gold, and silhouettes ranging from matching separates to printed saris and everything in between, Mahgul once again brings her own swag to the runway. No one does detailing like this growing big gun!
Minimalistic, traditional and elegance personified, Misha’s Bagh-e-Bahar collection was a refreshing treat for Lahore audeinces. Sticking to her signature aesthetic, the designer showcased a range of pieces, with everything from Patiala shalwaars to lehgngas, to intricate craftsmanship on velvets and detailed cutwork.
