Team Sunday picks the five Collections that made our hearts skip a beat at the recently passed Fashion Pakistan Week 2016:
AYESHA FAROOK HASHWANI
The designer who never fails to bring us something new each time, went all out by playing up her classic silhouette with vibrant prints. From her willingness to experiment with bold colours to her array of cuts, Ayesha Hashwani set the mark with a truly inspired and cohesive collection.
Generation presented “A Dot That Went For A Walkâ€, the first collection by designer Khadija Rahman. From the exquisite draping to the play on prints and the traditional accents throughout, we loved everything from the oversized kurtas to the accentuated shalwar.
Natasha Kamal took audiences to the beach and back with her summer inspired collection. With easy elegance capturing a look that was both polished and endlessly chic, each piece was versatile and classic, leaving room for one to style it up in their own way.
Every collection of Nida’s seems like an evolution from the last, keeping in mind the designers signature aesthetic throughout. From her modern twist on the classic shalwaar to her go-to colour pallete and detailed cutwork, ‘Kirigami’ was hands down one of the strongest collections to be seen on the ramp.
Synonymous with simplicity and minimalism, with his latest “Basic†collection, Zaheer Abbas reinvents classic and key pieces of everyone’s wardrobe. Showcasing the humble revival of the all white look, the designer celebrated one of our favourite emerging trends of less is more!
